BY CAR
From Rome
If you are coming from Rome (130 km – 80 mi away), take the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) and exit onto the A12/E80 highway towards Civitavecchia. Drive on the A12/E80 for about 65 km (40 mi) until the highway ends at Tarquinia. Continue straight on the SS1 Aurelia/E80 towards Grosseto for about 40 km (25 mi) then take the Chiarone exit.
At the end of the ramp, turn left towards Giardino dei Tarocchi and Capalbio. Continue for 2.9 km (1.8 mi), then turn left, uphill, towards Capalbio onto Strada Capalbio Pescia Fiorentina. Drive for 3.1 km (1.9 mi), then turn right onto Strada della Sgrilla (SP101). Continue for 5.7 km (3.5), and you will find the entrance to Tenuta della Sgrilla on your right.
From Florence
If you are coming from Florence (190 km – 118 mi away), get on the Autostrada A1 (E35) heading towards Rome and drive approximately 90 km (56 mi) until the Valdichiana-Bettolle-Sinalunga exit. After the exit, follow signs for Siena and merge onto SS715 (Raccordo Siena-Bettolle). Continue on SS715 for about 20 Km (12 mi) until you reach Tangenziale Ovest di Siena. Take the exit towards Grosseto and merge onto SS223/E78 (Siena-Grosseto). Follow SS223/E78 for approximately 80 km (50 mi) until you reach Grosseto. In Grosseto, follow signs for Rome and merge onto SS1 Aurelia/E80 heading south. Continue on SS1 Aurelia/E80 for about 50 km (31 mi) then take the Chiarone exit.
At the end of the exit ramp, turn left towards Giardino dei Tarocchi and Capalbio. Drive 2.9 km (1.8 miles) and turn left, uphill, towards Capalbio on Strada Capalbio Pescia Fiorentina. Continue for 3.1 km (1.9 mi) and turn right onto Strada della Sgrilla (SP101). Drive 5.7 km (3.5 mi) and you will find the entrance to Tenuta della Sgrilla on your right.
From Milan
If you are coming from Milan (480 km – 298 mi away), get on the Autostrada A1 (E35) heading towards Bologna and drive approximately 190 km (118 mi), passing Piacenza and Parma, until you reach the junction with the Autostrada A15. Take the exit for A15 (Autocisa) towards La Spezia and drive 100 km (62 mi) through Passo della Cisa, until you reach the junction with the Autostrada A12 near La Spezia. Merge onto A12 (E80) towards Livorno and Rosignano Marittimo and continue for about 110 km (68 mi), passing Carrara, Viareggio, and Pisa. At the end of A12, after Rosignano Marittimo, continue on SS1 Aurelia/E80 towards Grosseto/Rome. Follow SS1 Aurelia/E80 for about 110 km (68 mi) then take the Chiarone exit.
